Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

A battle on the mechanics forums I face as well.

I have been drinking, but want you to know i respect you all. all of you see my culture in a better retrospective then those that drive cars, that surround me when i ride my bike.
I'll assume here you are a native English speaker. With that assumption in play, you have an absolute, non-negotiable obligation to present yourself in a reasonable fashion or suffer the consequences. No need to somehow be perfect or not take the occasional liberty but the simple fact of the matter is if you cannot create basic, understandable sentences in your native language (given your age) then you have an issue. If you are choosing to not articulate your thoughts in basic, understandable ways then you have issues. People are under no obligation to quietly accept your personal choices when it adversely affects them.

I can't thank you enough. Oh hey, since I won't be using it as I'll no doubt be spending a significant amount of time in a recovery hospital, would you like to ride the new, custom fixed I'm having torched up? I'm not sure I'll be able to handle it.

Moderator Tom- Im in past my head again, sorry. I need to reserve Bike forums for when I need a tech. question answered in the mechanics section. Or when I have some thing worth-while to say. Sorry. Can you delete this thread? Please do not ban me.

You appear to be running out of fresh material. This was fun but now that there is nothing new I'll excuse myself.

I'm sorry I missed this one. Sounded fun. Good thing the old man was up, patrolling these boards while his drop dead gorgeous wife was satisfying herself in the other room lol.
