Cant get rusty bolts/stem off bike.

I was trying to help a buddy tear down a 1960 something Schwinn cruiser he wants to built for his gf. Anyhow, I pounded on the stem bolt and it simply wont come out. Is there something I am overlooking? The headset looks pretty standard. We sprayed it down with WD and Liquid Wrench and still nothing. The same goes for both fender bolts. They wont budge. Should I try to torch them off? I will try to get pictures.

He had already stripped down a little before I got a hold of it and its got a single freewheels mechanism on the rear hub and 1 single brake lever that seemed to almost lock into place when you engage the lever. The cable went all the way back to the rear but it had no "brakes" that I saw. This gives me inkling to say it would be a coaster brake? Sorry for the newbie questions but I have never worked on anything of this nature. I will use the search tomorrow morning.

sounds like its frozen in there with rust/debris. Your best bet is to use CO2 or windex to break down all the junk. A torch may work, but you can damage the frame. Try CO2 first.
