What if you ask if they suck and someone says they suck and then you think they suck even when they dont because you asked someone on the internet and they said they suck without even ever having ridden them?
Has the entire world forgotten how to formulate their own opinion?

From: My response would have been something along the lines of: "Does your bike have computer controlled suspension? Then shut your piehole, this baby is from the future!"
Bikes: to many to list
Dude, don't worry, I'm sure they'll be fine, a lot of these guys think that paying $400.00 to have wheels built makes them better, when in reality all it does is make them more expensive.

I know, thats how a lot of people are. I was just seeing what someone who already has them thinks. I already bought them. They were in my budget and thats all that matters to me

A handbuilt wheel is about a million times better than machine built given the same hub/spokes/rim. If you haven't noticed a difference then you either haven't ridden your wheels long enough to form an opinion or you live in a magical shangri la where all the roads are made of perfectly smooth hardwood.

don't worry the stickers are definately coming off. Quality doesn't always mean you pay more. Sometimes for example aftermarket car parts are better than OEM. Plus humans make more errors than machines but if you have the money then buy the best money can buy. Everyone has their own perrogative

It's fine, just get a spoke wrench and learn to keep the wheels true. You will start to get loose spokes after a while. But if you check them once a month and keep them tight then they will last.
It is kinda funny how people say cheap wheels are bad. In what way? Astrocomical! Please explain why they are garbage. Probably the biggest concern would be the hub's threads, which could strip if they are low quality.

Hey RiD3FR33 I was just wondering how those aeromax's worked out for you. I was thinking of getting a set for my build.

edit: thought of one more, Dansk cat back for the same car
and while we are making vehicle references, why do you think only exotic cars are hand made? are you saying a machine built Suzuki has higher build quality than a bentley?
the saying you get what you pay for almost always holds true.
your wheels are probably perfectly acceptable (i think my friend may even have them) but a $500 wheelset is going to be a lot more than just "more expensive"

The aeromax wheels may be a tad bit heavy and the bearings may not be the best, but, otherwise, I'm sure they are fine. What is questionable is the quality of the build, even th ough thats not a huge issue. Any build deficiencies can easily be corrected by a wheel mechanic in a few minutes and for a few dollars, resulting in a true and structurally stable wheelset.

This is complete bull****. There's nothing magical about handbuilt wheels. You can spend 10 minutes stress relieving and retensioning a machine built wheel and it will be exactly as good as a pair of handbuilts made of the same components.
