Track stem compatibility with khs frame

Hey everyone. I'm new to track bikes. I got the Flite 100 KHS and i was considering upgrading to a cinelli stem and bars. Is this possible on this bike? I'm assuming stems are pretty universal, but i have no idea. I'm seeing some nice deals on e-bay for stem and bar combos, but i'd hate to drop $100 and have it not work with my bike. Suggestions pleeze. Thanks.

are you talking about one of the integrated stem and bar combos? it should work fine as long as you get a threaded stem, which is what i think the khs calls for, at least the 2003 and earlier models. imho though, you should get an old school style track stem (deep angle) and drop bars, aesthetically it looks awesome but does take some getting used to physically. go to www.businesscycles.com and look at their components, stems and handlebars. i highly recommend the b127 nitto anatomical drops btw. good luck.
