Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? I like this....Was I the only person who thought the old version of the Flea that used a battery to charge another internal battery was inefficient, expensive, and kind of stupid...

I have one that I don't really like. It turns off on me at all the wrong times. I don't get it. I'll just be riding along and about 10 minutes after I turned it on, it will just turn itself off. Sometimes I don't notice for a few minutes and then I'm really freaked out that I had been riding sans light for a few minutes. Anyone else have that experience? My friend recommended it, but so far I wish I just had a cateye.

Mine only turns off on me when it's very low on juice. I have not been too good about remembering to charge the little guy. I don't think it's too expensive to recharge using regular batteries. 1 D battery lasted several months for me, and I think the little system is kind of cool. I'll be excited to pick one of these up, though. We get plenty of sun out here.
