Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I'm building up a fixie and I'm really in the dark as far as brands go. I'm not looking to spend too much money... anything particularly wrong with these? recommendations?

Bikes: A few BSO's.

They are fine if you like decals. I don't personally but the wheels will work for you and maybe the decals can be removed.
There are better wheels for slightly more money.

Bikes: Gios Compact Pro 10 Chorus, Gios single speed, Pedal Force RS2 10 chorus, CAAD5 10 Centaur, Diamondback dirt bike, Fuji Fixed Gear.

They look ok to me. Bike Island is reputable.
