Need a Brown Saddle.

Perhaps you all can help me here.

I'm looking for a brown saddle, but not a leather one. I have a brooks b-17 and I love it but it's really heavy and it's a hassle dealing with it whenever it rains or snows (as it will be in the coming winter months). Brown compliments my bike nicely and anything else will really clash.

I can't find a good, synthetic, brown road saddle anywhere.

The closest I've found is the Origin-8 racing saddle (seen here https://one9.us/blog/cycling/origin-8...-saddle-review)...but it seems to have been discontinued, I can't find it on sale anywhere.

Help please!

Requirements
-Brown
-Road saddle (not track)
-Synthetic
-comfy

Thanks!

I don't think that they use leather on all of their saddles.

I saw charge, but they're pretty difficult to find too. They're out of the UK and no one has them online either.

I know it's suede, but one of the best saddles around, look and feel.

yeah, I want something that won't soak up water/slush/snow, something I can just wipe off when i'm ready to ride...suede is possible the worst candidate for this... sigh

I had that Soma posted above but in white and I can say that it was one of the nicest looking and performing saddles for the money. I think that's what I am going to role on my next fixed...

so buy from a UK retailer? The price of the cro-mo Spoon is only like $30-35 + shipping, which could be a lot, I guess, but not enough to be a deal breaker especially if you are as desperate as you say.

https://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Ch...le/5360029530/

that place has it, though not in stock right now, and will apparently ship to US.

/\ I love the look of that traitor saddle! How is it on longer rides? How long have you had it and how has it held up?

I'm also looking at the soma...I just saw they have a synthetic leather one.

How does synthetic leather hold up to rain/snow/etc? Does it absorb it like regular leather or does it act more like plastic?

i haven't had the traitor saddle long and the longest ride i've taken it on was about 12 miles. got a little sore near the end but i think i still need to make some adjustments to get it right where i want it. it's held up fine in the few weeeks i've had it.

That traitor saddle is a pretty generic Velo design. I have one under a different branding. (it also looks like the Charge Knife is a very similar design)
I can only ride in it with cycling shorts, for a few days. I work on my bike, Monday-Tuesday is fine, but by Friday my whole ass is killing me. I don't even dare ride on it with out cycling shorts.

I am replacing the saddle today.

I had the Origin8, which is brown synthetic leather. Was pretty uncomfortable. Really narrow, sharp-ish edge on the tail end, and despite thicker padding, just wasn't comfortable.

Switched to a Charge Spoon which is also brown syn leather, and have been very happy. It's a mid-wide, smooth edges, and about as comfortable as I can expect.

Both were around the same price of $30.
