Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Yeah, from you. Why would women choose any different bikes than men to begin with?
And considering how girly many fixed-gear bikes are, it would be hard to tell the difference anyway, even if there is one.

I ride a 725TR Leader. One of my friends rides some unknown NJS frame and a Pista, another friend rides a Fuji track. Loads of girls in Seattle ride some nice bikes, not all are conversions...or...pink (bleh!). Actually I dont know any girls that ride conversions.

Steve-as my friend, you should know better than to say that

Not a girl myself, but I gather these folks are longer in the legs than us guys. Therefore a suitable bike would be relatively short in the top tube and/or slack in the seat tube angle. The rearward position of the saddle would then require higher handlebars to keep the angle between the legs and the torso open. Also, it would be fitted with narrower handlebars.

I'm going to be optimistic, and assume the OP was refering to fit issues. Isn't that right?

About shorter torso length, and also shorter in general?

and about toe clip overlap with large wheels on small frames?

Yeah, facepalm is really getting old.

Also, could you guys seriously not tell that stevey was kidding? I understand that you can't hear someonoe's voice over the internet, but you guys do still have brains, right?

OP---My gf rides an SE Lager w/ Deep Vs and bullhorns and a CF fork. She got it off CL from a dude and has since upgraded it. Point is, girls ride the same bikes guys do.

Adriano--How could you let your gf waste her money on that bike?
