Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Sounds like you already know the answer to your question. Although, like all things LBS, it will be cheaper online. The LBS is good for things like helmets, which you need to see and try in person to make a decision. For this, it is worth paying the premium. For things like freewheels or cogs, it is NOT worth paying double or triple online prices just to support your LBS, unless of course they give you a lot of personalized advice or something.

I owned this helmet. I crashed with this helmet. I bought a new one that's essentially the same (Giro Transfer), except it was slightly cheaper.

I personally only buy cheap helmets that aren't Wal-mart brand crappiness, which have the most pathetic excuse for vents. (I've had to use one once temporarily). So, in my opinion, the Indicator is great.
