Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Thinking about these for a couple bikes. Could I use the rear brake for a front on another bike? Has anyone used these? If so, quality, performance, fitment, etc. Thanks.

You need a longer bolt for a front brake. A front brake will stay a front brake, and vice versa. Sorry.

I just ordered a pair for a project I'm working on. I got them a few days ago, and the quality seems pretty good. I haven't mounted them yet, since the bike they're going on doesn't have wheels yet, but I'll post back up after riding on them a few times

Problem Solvers makes a number of long reach brake nuts to accommodate using a rear brake on the front.
