I, uh, wasn't backing you up. That dude made a grammatical error. You write like you're functionally illiterate and dictating to someone who's not much better.

Let's see, OP creates a thread with a title begging for help. Then, is very quick to state that he/she is "done" with this bike and is moving onto the next. After that, things start going down hill in earnest. Um, yea. OP - maybe time to move on. You were cute for about 5 seconds but everyone is over you, now. Take care.

WOW. hahaha(:

An expensive solution with SS/FG is to get a White Industries ENO hub. I'd avoid ugly chain tensioners. Or just get a bike with horizontal or track dropouts.

^ I believe it has something to do with yogurt. I may be wrong...anyone want to second this?

Scrotze 10-04-09 12:53 PM

In all seriousness though, don't move on to a new one. Keep at this one. You might learn a thing or two. Mmmm-mmm b%$#! Just my opinion though, you should leave both brakes on. Those protruding braze-ons (braze-ons?) don't look very pleasing.

enjoiipuurple 10-04-09 02:12 PM

just cus i said i was starting a new one doesnt mean im gonna abondon this one. i simply enjoye building a fixie so i want to get starte on a new one. since it appears i cnt do anything about this one im just calling it done.. thats all. but im probably just gonna end up buying a half link chain. or try using different cogs... so yeahh. im not calling quits. i will be starting a new one tho. & i deff dnt wanna use a chain tensioner because it wuld make it look really lame. thanks to everyone who helped me bigg tho! i really appreciate it!(:

TheBikeRollsOn 10-04-09 03:23 PM

Good luck. On your next bike look for a frame with horizontal or track dropouts. And read sheldon browns article on fixed gear conversions.

enjoiipuurple 10-04-09 10:23 PM

yeahh, thats what i plan to do(: i learned ALOT (more) from this threadd! THANKSS!
