There's a decent number of Kilo TTs at the University of Veloware as well. I see many more beat up old conversions though, probably because Newark seems to have a somewhat high rate of bike theft.

Other than mine (the wheat with all black components that youve probably seen) and my friends (white with all black), i have only seen one other one. A branded BD, black, risers, yellow ourys.
What do you ride?

Rutgers has more conversions than anything else. My favorite bike that I see around is a beat to hell conversion painted baby blue, lugs painted yellow, with rainbow spoke beads and an american flag bandana tied to the rails of the saddle. I'll try and get a picture next time I see it.

Around these parts, most people don't even bother converting their old road bikes. The ten-speed is king!
Speaking only of fixies though, I'd say about half are conversions and the other half are BD bikes. Lawrence just doesn't have a huge fixed culture, which is strange because there are plenty of hipsters to go around. KC on the other hand...

Been seeing this bike all over Temple as well as the Kilos. Can't help but think "God damn, that is ugly" every time I see one.

I've definitely seen yours before. There's also a green one with risers, no brakes, and no foot retention that I see zipping down Main Street on occasion. I ride that bright ass orange Windsor Clockwork that you've probably seen around as well haha.

i've only ever seen one BD bike here on campus. tons of janky conversions, i've seen one of those ugly as sin republic bikes, and some ugly tarck track bike without decals.
