Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Bikes: Full Fendered Bareknuckle, Faggin with 10spd Centaur, 1973 Raleigh 3spd Cruiser.

I tried to ride a wheelie clipped in on my road bike, went too far backwards, fell, and got the wind knocked out of me. 'twas fun indeed.

Bikes: 2006 Windsor Dover w/105, 2007 GT Avalanche w/XT, 1995 Trek 820 setup for touring, 201? Yeah single-speed folder, 199? Huffy tandem.

These are the cheapest metal platform pedals I could find (< $15 delivered): https://cgi.ebay.com/OLD-SCHOOL-BMX-D...4.c0.m14.l1262

Bikes: Bianchi San Jose, fixed

I run the twisted PC pedals on my beater road bike.
No complaints, have surprisingly good grip, and are more comfortable than any mks pedal I've used.

Haro Small Blocks are like $8. Put them on for the summer without straps for riding in flip flops (yes, I've got brakes). I think someone here who was into BMX recommended them. Plastic but very grippy due to the deep concave.

any BMX pedal should work fine really, just make sure you get 9/16" and not 1/2". if you can find something in your price range with replaceable pins that is best.
