Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

gear ratio to trick on?

im riding on 48/17 right now, and im pretty comfortable with that for just riding, i want a lower gear ratio to trick on and stuff, just so its easier, what cog do you think i could go to to make things easier, like to pop the front wheel up and etc. since i have a fixed/fixed hub

go to those forums, people here will just give you crap for having fun on your bike.

but from what I've gathered people ride a really wide variety of ratios for tricks. I ride 46x17 and it's really nice. some dudes ride really low ones, Keo rides a really high one.
