Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? VISP and BLUE tr250 question

Yes I did research prior to this question and had little luck!

Does anyone have any reviews on the 2009 VISP Track frame?

Opinions?

Weight: 700Cx500MM Frame 1995 grams(include frame+drop out+bolt,seat clamp), Fork 740-780 grams, Headset 126 grams.

1995=4.39
780=1.71
126=.25
Total= 6.35 pounds?

Also what about the BLUE TR250 frame

Tell that to this guy.

He is selling it built up for $900!

He provides lots of shady pictures for his shady bike!

oh yeah, and your $900 doesn't include the dura ace brake, sram levers or clipless pedals!

looks good, shame it is heavy as ****. Someone will probably buy it.

there is alot of hearsay in this thread

Like, how can it suck. short of falling apart, its obviously not heavy. its not a plastic bike. i mean....does it suck since its not a cool japanese maker? or what.

Honestly for what they cost, those frames look pretty badass.

I'm assuming they explode if you hit a pot-hole, which is pretty much the only reason to say a cheap aluminum track frame "sucks".

There is a review on bike forums https://www.bikeforums.net/archive/in.../t-535273.html
I've been riding a Visp for about 3 months and I really love it. i plan on posting some picks in the "post your SS/Fixed gear" thread in a few days.

I ride a Visp aswell. Solid bike, no different than any other aluminum frame I've ridden.

Interesting...another cheap aero looking aluminum frame, to compete with the Motobecane Track Team and Leader whatever now.
