Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Cinelli MASH. $800 for frameset. not very aero, but afaik it's made with Altec2 tubing, where the tt and dt have aero/teardrop profiles.

Spicer Cycles makes some pretty nice custom aero frames. Not all are that great, but they are a decent price at $1000 and you can get most anything you want.

That bike is really nice, but the lightweight wheel does not seem right to me. I would think this person would care more about aero then a light front wheel. I would like to see a mavi IO or even the corima aero spoke. Though I am sure that person knows better then me.

risers are comfy. dont knock it till youve tried it. besides, if you're not riding on the track your best bets will be risers, tt base bars / bullhorns, or road/ergo drops. and it's fine to not ride on the track anyway.. it shouldnt make you a newb.

also MAN this thread is givin me a bike bowner

Not sure on the budget, but the older Cervelo P3 aluminum are great bikes. I have one for time trials.
