Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Crappy rollers D:

I just bought a pair of rollers off some guy on craigslist and they aren't even round. They're so loud and the vibrate my whole house, and there is no way I could use these without my neighbors going bananas. Do fancy nice rollers have this problem? I remember my dad having rollers and don't recall them being all loud and vibrate-y. Recommend me something if you've had a good experience.

I've only ridden one set of rollers (my old roomate's) and never had either of those problems.

Are they made from pvc?
I've read that those things can warp after awhile.
Maybe he wore them out and unloaded them on you?

I've got one of these jobbies, they work great & were pretty cheap.
