Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? I have a small bike repair business which supplements a disability pension I receive... the shop is getting busier and busier and it's all been word of mouth.

Built up a fixed gear mountain bike tonight with custom made wheels for a fellow who was so pleased with the work he tipped me an extra $60.00.

Ah.. I feel you.

Hard finding even entry-level jobs when 200,000 other people are looking for one too.
