Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

we live in small apt, so no extra space. i use the topeak dualtouch bike stand which will hold 4 bikes in minimal space.

here it is holding 2 bikes:

if you move it away from the wall a bit you can fit two more on the other side.

LOL, no, those are not my bikes. Those are a SRAM employee's bikes. I wish they were mine! I did get my stand from him though.

i live in a loft-like apt, which is small, but the cielings are way too high for me to use a hook. but i decided on this stand below, and tuck my bike away in a corner. i like this best from most of the bike stands, because it doesn't put pressure on the spokes of my wheels. you can find it on amazon from niagra cycles for about $25.

Check out https://www.dickssportinggoods.com, they have some good storage options, not super expensive. If I could make holes in my wall, I would buy this one:

My bike is leaned against the wall in an out-of-the-way spot in my kitchen. Tools and supplies are stored in a big toolbox in my closet. I do my wrenching in the living room in front of the TV.

College apartments FTL.
