new forum

is lame.
All the words are bigger which means I have to scroll down to see as many threads. I am not blind, I could see them before.
I can't click to the last page of a thread from the main ss/fg forum, I first have to enter the thread, then click last page once inside.
I don't think big bubbly envelopes are nice to look at, it was great before.
The colors are more babyish. Sorta light or pastel. The bold colors of before made it easier to differentiate things.

There should be an option, like on every other forum, to just pick your own skin. Or at least a new version or original option.

I agree. New forum sucks. Its slow and looks bad without the nice features of the original. I would like the see the original version again. It was much quicker and easier to use.

Maybe its just me but this version quotes the message above you even if you just click reply to message. I dont like that either.

the new forums does look nice, but i agree with you guys. I think it just looks a bit uneasy to the eyes since were so familiar w/ the old forum. i'd give it a few days or so and let it sink in.

I'm fine with it, other than the "last thread" link that's missing in thread listings. Also, the page numbers are all screwed up. If I go into a large thread and click on Last Page, I get an error message page. I'm presuming this is because the actual last post isn't on the "last page."

Pro tip: click this little icon to the left of the thread names to jump to first unread post (uses cookies).

This functionality was around on the old style forum too, not sure if everyone knows about it but it's uber dope.

It's called change. I agree, I don't like it much either. But in a week or two, everything will start to feel the same.

Seriously? It's a face lift of the exact same features. Also, I deduct 10 internets for not knowing how to change text size on your browser.

Yeah, just decrease the text size, I have a new macbook and can just pinch it smaller! took me all of 2 seconds to fix. firefox remembers your text size preferences

I did make the text size smaller, but that makes things in the add-new-post page rather tiny, but space on a main forum page is still ENORMOUS. I can't stand the obnoxiously large "New Posts" or "No New Posts" envelope icons to the left of each thread title. They're absolutely ****ing huge. They don't need to be that large when topics with new posts are in bold anyways. The light blue/green text colour is too washed out on white to be comfortably readable. The new forum is designed to look cool from far away, not to actually make it easier to browse the forums. What a jip.

Also, even though I used AdBlock on the site before, the new just seems to have way too much white space everywhere.

And what happened to clicking "Go" at the bottom of the page to get back to a main forum? Now when I click "Singlespeed & Fixed Gear" it comes up with a bloody menu, and I have to scroll down to find the name again. ALKJglkjsa a.jgkl.

[edit] somebody should write a greasemonkey script to make it look the way it used to.

Or, admins, at least provide the ability to change the skin at the bottom of each page just like other forums do.

suggest it in the user assistance thread?

I think it's just too much gradients everywhere. Should've just kept things simple like it used to. Initially I liked this forum more than the others coz it loads fast, simple, no gradients or round corners compared to the other forums.
But Cntrl+mousewheel up/down works wonders in firefox with text size issues.

what's with the make over? it reminds me when car and driver switched to its "new look" and it sucked BALLZZZ. keep it simple and efficient. almost as cold and stripped down as CL but not so devoid of design. yeah? or at least can we have an option to switch to the old style?
