Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? What to do with my Bianchi Pista??

I noticed a lot of people riding them around town and now I'm sick of mine

the worst conversation ever happened to me tonight:

"hey Ron, I went to the pub last night and saw your bike locked up. Thought you were inside..."

but it turns out I wasn't there.

what should I do with it?

No, he should get a Windsor or Kilo if he wants exclusivity.

Get a longboard. I think everyone is doing that now, although we'll probably make fun of you for having been still riding fixie at the end of 09

getting rid of your bike cause too many people have it is super hipster in case you were wondering. just make the bike your own if it's that big a deal to you. paint it or something

Isn't the whole reason you got a Pista in the first place because everyone else has one?

Well you can always make it look "customized" according to your taste.... for example sandblast the chrome off and powdercoat in your favorite color.

OR you can go around town and steal EVERY bianchi pista you can get your hands on without being caught; so you'll have the only one

It's a good idea; longboards are totally different from skateboards; mostly with longer and faster cruising speeds and less foot numbness from vibration (only if you get big wheels)

You can skid with a longboard too once your wheels are broken in

spray paint your bike black.

be sure to get it in/all over the headset and bottom bracket as well, that makes for good lube.

How about you actually ride you're Pista and stop using it as a bike rack ornament decorating the streets of all the local bars.

I'll trade you for my $200 62cm craigslist steamroller. It's one of a kind, and I mean that in the ****tiest way possible.

Word Scrod! I often like to go to the coffee shop on a Sunday morning to get a latte and check out the gallery of sweet bikes lining the sidewalk

Bikes: 82 Bianchi ECO Pista, Pake, Kilo TT, some *** bmx i found underneath an old house

take it out for drinks after work, grease it up and have nasty HR Giger sex with it afterwards, then grab some steak & eggs and Mimosas' in the morning with it. go to the "bathroom" before the check arrives, and slip out the back. leave town and never come back. problem solved.

Of course you do. Most likely, there are also more people on campus listening to Dave Matthews Band than Black Flag.
