Kilo TT Lugged - do it Mike

I want to start drumming up interest in a lugged Kilo TT. Despite the interest expressed in other threads, Mike seems to still be on the fence about it. Maybe if enough people post support, Mike will actually do it.

I'll only buy a lugged kilo tt if it has lugs that are similar to those from nervex thorughout and based on the Kilo TT deluxe color scheme

a decalless, lugged kilo with a threaded headset, no gold, and a chrome option would be like printing money. youd steal the bianchi base.

$100 for lugs? Would that include lighter tubing also?

A stripper edition with lighter tubing and lugs, ESPECIALLY polished stainless lugs, would be pretty sweet.

If they did a lugged version I would be bummed because I just bought a white and chrome deluxe. I would have somehow come up with another hundred if it were available now.

Lugged Kilo with a 1 1/8 head tube and a 27.7 seat post would be awsome..........But that wouldnt be a Kilo, would it?

there are plenty of niche vendors already strugglng in this space. I would expect a nice branded tubeset, and that does not come cheap.

those niche vendors cannot match and will be destroyed by the price that bikesdirect can do.

You guys are basically asking for an Alien, and that frame already exists. Why not buy one of those and pretend it's a kilo rather than have mike go through the trouble of copying it?

because Alien take forever to ship out, the pre-painted color choices are limited to black & white, the amount of drilling space on the fork limits what brakes you can use, they're still a bit more expensive than what BD could do, and it seems like a lot of the people who got in on the Alien group buy were not happy with what they got.

Nervex lugs are ugly. Moreso art than anything. Stick with the normal lugs. Threaded with an ACTUAL headbadge would be great.
