lets have a good old tire discussion!! I'll start...

Is $60 for 2 gator skins too much to spend on tires? I have 27x1 1/4" rims so my choices are limited.
are Sport 1000s any good?

I am tiring of Trackfresh's posts. Isn't he the one who messed up the threads on his Phil Wood hub? Clearly he has a little too much time and money on his hands...

i am too,l although it is not that that bothers me so much as the "does anyone ride a BIKE" type posts.
mistakes are mistakes, and f'ing up a part happens, but to fail to search the forum before asking a question, then ask a question, then ignore the advice, then break the part, then to complain about it looking for sympathy.....too much. perhaps he is just a heavy drinker and that explains it all, including the really stupid posts.

There are 3 ******* I've delt with in this forum, Trackfresh is not one of them.

There's obtuse, innane and then there is...well, most of my posts.

I don't like candy. Wine and cheese please.

mmmm candy candy candy! like sugar, too much. i really need to see a dentist. punk rock teeth aren't cool. especially when youre nearly 30. what's the oddest energy food you've taken on a ride? i tried homerun pies once because you can get 5 for a dollar (much cheaper than power bars) but they don't taste so good the second time around.

We have a jar of candy at work that has different things in it everyday and I walk by and I take a piece and I put it in my mouth and it tastes real good and I move it around but then before I know it I crunch it and then it is gone.

Then I walk by again and I take a piece and repeat the whole process until there is no candy left.

The next day there is different candy and I can begin again

I think I'd like trackfresh if he had candy. He'd be my friend for a tube sock filled w/ Bit-o-honey's--anybody out there want to be my friend?

weirdest energy food had to be sugar cubes, and some flatbread I got from an iranian store. That bread was delish! The cubes were ok, they dissolved nicely with some water

Downside...the flatbread was only availible in this massive like 8lb quatity...so my messenger bag was feeling mighty heavy by about the end of the trip.

As far as candy...I want my *$#&&@^ cowtales!!!!!!!! ...well Bit-o-Honey will work in a stretch though

i really should eat less sugar. man i need a job with dental benefits. i love m&ms. i was in the army for a little while and i went on a deployment to kuwait. i ate a lot of MRE's. the cool thing about MRE's is some of them have m&m's in them, so i used to barter with people for their m&m's. the funny thing is MRE's have such a long shelf life that i would get m&m's that said "proud sponsor of the 1984 olympic team" on the label. this was in 1997. I STILL ATE THEM THOUGH! eventually i became sick of m&m's:-( that was a sad time. but now i'm over it i still eat them on occasion, and i don't discriminate based on age (of the m&m's). trackfresh do you have m&m's?

iranian flatbread sounds awesome! i like cheddar jalapeno, the jalapenos give me turbo for my engine. riding buddies get a kick out of it, unless their behind me. then their not so happy.

Bikes: a tvt soon to become a s/s...

middle eastern food rocks.

candy rocks less. there's only so much unidentified/unidentifyable animal gelatine that i can think about stomaching. [and it's far too difficult to find candy that isn't made by the coca cola company [kill trade unionists], nestle [kill babies], glaxo-smithklien [vivesectionists] or pesico [used to deal in myanmar, still fu<king the unions]]

bleh...

damn consumer boycotts.

not odd, but... BEER! purely for the performance benefits, though: the alcohol numbs the pain, and carbs in liquid form are pure power.

during the tour back in the 30's and forty's the racers only drank wine because the water was bad for you. how 'bout we call you old school from now on.

Yes! bikers who understand that nothing's better than pure
sugar after a ride. Gatorade, Propel, Gulco-stuff is great
and all, but nothing beats a 7-11 slurpee.

Sugar is not good, however, for keeping away a hangover. I woke up feeling like I had licked all the cats (and some of the dogs) at the Humane Society after drinking a two-for-one pina colada last night. I always drink beer and whiskey-cokes, but we were at a Mexican restaurant last night at 1 in the morning and it seemed like a good idea to drink a liter of pina colada and then get up 4 hours later for work.

Maybe I should have had another pina colada this morning...you know: hair of the dog and all. That's sort of ironic, huh?

I like whiskey (who knew?) since it's more concentrated.... It really numbs the pain - I'm still kind of hurting on my right side (probably cracked one of my lower ribs) from a crash about 2 weeks ago. I got back up, then rode on to the point where I got lost, then somehow found my way home. Without the whiskey, I probably would have turned around after the crash.

Then again, I might have found my way home a couple of hours earlier if I didn't have the Jameson...
