Excellent! Are you able to remove the decals? Clean build... :)

Thanks. The wheels came without the decals that are shown in the original sales photo, so I didn't have to remove them. There are just some silly warning stickers and date code stickers that are easily removed.

Just forward $10k to my Swiss bank account via Western Union and they should arrive in about 3 days.
Thanks.

robb99 02-10-10 11:03 PM

Just in case, I didn't post that video to make fun of anyone. I just thought it was impressive / scary how that carbon wheel just totally disintegrated.

I'd hate to be around one of those things when the debris starts flying

These are just as cool looking when you are rolling and much more accessible (I see used ones at the thrift stores often)
They are stronger too!

Well, if you are on a really tight budget, I got these for under $500 including shipping, and they included a Park spoke wrench for internal spoke nipples and 4 carbon brake blocks. They look really nice and the hubs are very smooth.

Are these listed anywhere on the site? I looked and can't find them.

fyi...those mavic cosmic carbones are just a carbon fairing on an alloy hoop.

here's mine...

I am not a fan of all the stickers that most carbon wheels have. That is why I like these Corimas on my Colnago Titanio; I like how understated they are...

I think that is only true for the Carbone SL like yours, which are clinchers, however, the Carbone Ultimate, which is tubular, is all carbon fiber. It's similar to the Zipp 303 and 404, where the clinchers are much heavier than the tubulars due to the aluminum outer rim piece on the clinchers.

jet sanchez, i have an old corima front, but couldn't find much info on it on the internet. the price was right though. the hub is cool - sharply hourglass shaped.

Regarding the youtube of the tandem with the exploding front wheel, they did a heck of a job to keep upright as long as they did.

Tongue-in-cheek is hard to convey via text sometimes.
