I hate track bikes
Thats it! Im getting a recumbent! Now thats what i call stylin' yo!
As if! This thread is for bike snobbery of which I have been accused many a time. Im getting better, but i suppose im just a sucker for the classic steel feel. Might see some of you in Montreal at the NACCC's! ciao! |
I Smell a Troll and it stinks like dog Sh*t

From that low position you'll have a nice view of my ass as I blow by you.

"what i call stylin' yo"
That's what matters Whitey! Keep it real, homeboy! |
My largish friend, 300 pounds, has a bike E. He's got 21 gears and he does pretty well keeping up with me on my singlespeed. I like all bikes, when im older and fatter i'm gonna get a recumbant if thats what it takes!

Sometimes sarcasm falls flat. Check out his homepage. He's no troll. Whether he's hiding a recumbent in his closet is another matter.

friend had a recumbent and i fooled around with it for 10 min, he lives on a super steep hill, so maybe that was part of the problem, but i found it super hard to ride. balance all off. they suck!

thats one of my favorites in terms of elegance. almost like a track bike. those ridiculously long chains spoil it though. what i dont like about them is that you cant really use your body for balance and quick moves like on a regular bike. no hopping or even lifting the front wheel. you just sit there and play "engine". more like driving something than riding. |
I was talking to a guy the other day who regularly pushed a 62x13 on his bent. that made me think about respecting them a little more.
