That 105 brakes sort of doesn't fit the rest of the bike.

Actually it's quite nice looking in the high polish version, just isn't meant to go on the end of the bar. Like most Paul stuff, it has the 4 suits motif.

I do kinda like the internal routing, through the cork. It's nifty.

And the lever does look horribly out of place on that bike. As does the brake, and the Deep-v rims

Actually, I think that frame just looks out of place with those components.

It's just goofy. That bar has internal routing, so somewhere up near the end there's another hole to run the housing into. You could have put an aero lever up near the end and run the cable entirely out of view, even with bare metal bars. If they'd do the sensible thing and wrap those bars, then aero levers would hide the cable entirely, without having to use a weaker internal routing bar.

It's just stupid to use any sort of equipment designed to have hidden cable routing, then run a big loop of cable out at the end. Also, that lever is tiny, probably uncomfortable to use, a cross lever, and incredibly overpriced.

why? cause if you want a reverse brake lever, just buy a reverse brake lever. don't re-purpose a chincy E-Brake that already looks totally out of place on this thing as it is. the cable routing makes it look jack-ass. like other people have noted, modern touches on a vintage frame w/ a Swallow and leather wraps looks weak. that's why I say it stupid.

Maybe it doesn't completely suck, but to me they look and feel very cheap (yes I've seen them in person and goddamnit I hate agreeing with erichsia). If I were ever paying that much (way too much) for a brake lever, "cheap" isn't how I'd want it to look/feel/be.

Besides, it's dumb as all hell on that bike.

do you also hate:

1. kittens
2. hot chicks w/awesome racks
3. alcohol
4. bicycles
5. righteous poops
and
6. puppies?

because when you hate agreeing with me, you are also hating all those things as well. because I love those things. passionately.

also, your ass is hairy and gorss.

Hey man...you're the one looking at my ass (and thinking about it long after you've looked at it), not me.

Oh and by the way...
