My expectations are spot-on. It was raymondxcho who expected his BD bike to have decent pedals.

the pedals that came on my dawes have lasted me over a year... they aren't that bad... they aren't the best, but I haven't felt an overwhelming feeling that I need to replace them any time soon.

The resin pedals aren't going to break anytime soon unless you're fat and/or you getting a lot of pedal strikes.

The stock saddle is actually not bad. But really it's all subjective. Your junk may not like it, but my junk did not mind.

I have one with Lasco cranks. I use it to go the gym. It is a solid bike. The bars took a bit of getting used to given the drop from the center but its all good now. I had to true the wheels up when I put it together but that's the only thing it needed. Funny thing, the seat is super comfortable which is a big plus. I have Brooks, Specialized and the racing Terry and this seat holds its own. Who'd a thunk.

So my pedals came in. The GR-9s are amazing. So comfortable. But does anyone have any suggestions for some good clips? The clips these babies came with are shaped so weird. They are steel and look like MKS clips but they aren't. I know my size is right because I fit fine on my friend's MKS medium clips but these clips are shaped so that you cant stick your foot in all the way. Yes I adjusted the straps right. Thanks in advance.
The right and left (if they're so designed) could be on the wrong pedals. This happened to me, it was all my fault

The clips are identical. Problems fixed though. A friend of mine gave me his old hard plastic clips which are almost perfect. I found out I like large deep toe clips because it covers like half the foot whereas the metal clips I threw away barely covered my big toe. I mean, how am I supposed to stop with those? lols.
