To the OP - why can't you just mount your lever after the curve like this?
and where the hell do you find all these pictures? It looks like everything you say always has to come with a pic lol. However, it is helpful at times. |

Try out a BMX lever. They usually go 22.2mm and fit well. And some has pin-clamp setup so you don't have to take the grip off to take it off. If you are concerned, you can try to get 25.4mm lever so you can fit the lever on other types of bars. (I fit a 25.4mm lever on 26mm bar, it worked but I wouldn't do it if the bar is a carbon one.)
Oh and if I were to get bmx levers, I won't needa change out any of my original parts right? (besides the lever of course). |
That pic is actually of my bike (I assume you're talking about that pic and not the one of bloodied Fabio).
What size lever do you need? I have an unused right-side Tektro cross lever with a 24mm clamp that I'll send you for 10 bucks if you want it. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...la/lever-1.jpg |
I'll see your chrome right side clamp and raise you an all black one, in 31.8mm.
|
Hey Scrod, what kind of bars are those?
|
Nemesis Project 'lil' Weezy' alloy risers. I ****ing love them.

LOL sorry, I do too much reading during the daytime at school. When I come home and go shopping online, I just look for three words "add to cart".

I actually got them from a friend of mine on the west coast right when they came out. As much as I do like them, I'm not sure if I would have paid that much for them. $65+ is pretty steep.
|
Yeah for that price, I'd probably just pick some nittos up from my LBS.

Forgive the off topic post but -

What? Latin is real fun, man. Eventually you are gonna get to Medieval Latin (manuscripts) and that's where you get everything from blood and gore to s3x and scandals. Apparently scribes prided themselves on dramatizing their work, so much so they get reeeeaaal vividly nasty and saucy. Just hang on for few years of remembering declensions and stuff.
@Brian - I know what you're saying about the lack of coherent organization of thought in forum posts - I'm definitely guilty of that sometimes. |

P.S. I'm just stopping by after finishing an Ovid paper to say that I do love Latin (and Ancient Greek), but classical rather than medieval. |
Good lord already! why are all these bars getting cut so damn narrow? Yeah I've heard the "so I can snake between cars" line..come on are you really that close between cars that the two inches you cut off your bars is a lifesaver? how do you get any leverage at all on an incline?
For the love of god try and convince me this isn't just a fashion statement. anyway i'm finished now, back to your regularly scheduled hate! Oh and I still like alot of the bikes I see on here, except Gold and white ones..(just kiddin' schrod). nice rig.. |
"except gold and white ones"
That's pretty much narrowed down to just me! |

Don't cut the bars so short.....
And don't feel bad about yourself. The only guys who haven't had this kind of experience are the guys who have never tried to do anything themselves. Our life is richer than theirs. |
My friend slapped his lever on his top tube. Pretty sick if you ask me. :P

do people not use shims anymore? find rubber, cut it, stick it on the bend mount lever on top.
