Exactly.

Well it's a cop dashcam view of the cop chasing a black teenager, who in turn is riding to avoid the cop. a few twists and turns, then you hear the cop try to tase the kid while the car is driving. i'm assuming he misses, and he whips the car around and the bike kid is on the ground for some reason and the cop just runs him over. pretty sure it was an accident. the kid shouldn't have broken the law in the first place. the cop should know how to drive.

yeah your right, the kid broke the law, the cop had every right to run him over and kill him. let me know next time your in Philly, I know of a few cops that would love to kill you for riding your bike thru a stop sign. :thumb:

There are other forums on Bike Forums besides SS/FG.

Looks like an accident to me. Stupid, yes. But it doesn't seem intentional.

And it could've been avoided if the guy simply stopped the bike, instead of continuing to ride and avoid the cop. He should've known that trying to outfox a car on a bike will most probably not end well. This is not Quicksilver.

Ergo, jackass.

monsterkidz 03-03-10 06:02 PM

If the kid did pass away that poor cop has to live with running over and killing another human being for the rest of his life.
Stupid kid should have just stopped the bike and all of that could have been avoided.

shubonker 03-03-10 06:48 PM

Looks like the cop did tase the kid because right before he runs him over he's sprawled on the floor.

stupid ****ing cop.

magic-conch 03-03-10 09:41 PM

Sorry if you guys can't see it, I guess that's just too bad :)

Jungblood 03-03-10 09:45 PM

Hmmm which stereotypical response should I go with?

A) Stupid kid shouldn't be running from the cops... don't want to accidentally get killed in a police chase? Don't break the law or run from the police.

OR

B) **** pigs! Cops are the biggest thugs in America, this guy should be on death row for murdering that innocent biker, probably chasing him just cause he was black, ****in racist piece of **** PIG!!

??

You're free to assume whatever you want. It's not like it would be the first time you were wrong.

sharpsandflatts 03-03-10 10:12 PM

is there a link to a news story that goes with this? i'd like to get a bit more context.

just google the kid's name

LupinIII 03-03-10 10:16 PM

we don't know what the kid did. one would assume it was something fairly serious to warrant such chasing (probably more than just running a stop sign or something dumb like that)

kid didn't deserve to die, but it's a hazard that's assumed when running from the police. there used to be a day and age when police were respected, back when resisting arrest could warrant shots being fired. nowadays, nobody listens to the police. police chases are dangerous, surprise. if you don't want the danger, don't engage in one.

it's like someone going on safari where there's lions. if that guy is unfortunate enough to get mauled by a lion do we blame the lion for anything? or is it the guys fault for putting himself in inherent danger.

and going along with ridiculous hypotheticals, what if a motorist clipped a bicyclist (not killing but sending them down and causing injury). a policeman saw and started chasing the car. in trying to get away, the car slams into a telephone pole, the driver is ejected, and in the roadway the policeman hits him with his car on accident. should the cop have not given pursuit in the first place to prevent this wrongful death

rustybrown 03-03-10 11:29 PM

This happened in my town...right in front of a music venue.

sarcasm. tight. i'm not saying the kid deserved it. but if he didn't break the law then he wouldn't have been in that situation. and is running a stop sign all he did? if so, then he should've stopped. he didn't.
