Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

You must have scowered the phone booths of Soho for those. You cheap bastard. You should be stealing them from messengers like every other posenger out there.

So I should steal them from myself?!? ha haha
Sorry bro, I'm not a 'posenger' . Just a messenger who actually has an internet connection (and broadband at that!), along with a serious fixedgear/internet addiction.
Friday was soo boring, I even volunteered for a £2.50 job from The City to pick up in Camden to drop off in Mayfair!(think a total of 45min. riding around London for about $4) The prostitute cards are just an example of my boredom (along with this post on a dull saturday night).

Sorry dude, inside joke. THought it was more commonly known around here.

Those cards look just like the T and A advertisements of the phone booths.

It's alright, sorry, I made that last post just after waking up :S

And, yes, they are T and A ads in phone boxes

Salmonchild... yea, 'proper' spokecards are usually from alleycat type races...

Yea, I do remember a white fixie on Gt Marlborough St.... last week, was it? Alleycats are the least structured race imaginable!

yeah twas last week, monday as i left my phone at work over the weekend and had to go in on the first day of my holiday.

the steed is a singlespeed, not sure enough of my abilities to try fixed at the moment, plus lack of money meant that when i was building it i could only afford a 'normal' hub.

cheers for the info, and nice ride.

Bikes: Titus road, Fort CX

an alleycat contains a variety of point-gathering events: cargo race, checkpoints, fixie battles, TTs, etc...depends on the organizers

HAHAHAH!!
It's 'irony' as I am American... Atlanta, Ga.
Moved here 2yrs ago.
A running joke with some guys I drink with.. "What are ya drinkin? Stella LIGHT?!?!" har har
But, sadly, Miller (along with Bud) can be found fairly easily around London.
But only women drink it!
Personally, I prefer Budvar, Grolsh, Kronenburgh or Foster's. But definitely miss my Sweetwater (ATL swill)
