Motobecane VS. Leader
Ok, so I have narrowed my search to 2 frames now. I have read all the post about these 2 frames as they stand on their own. I think I know how most people stand on them. But I have never seen a comparison of them. I am looking for an aluminum frame to ride at my local drome 3-5 days a week and also as my daily ride. I have read here and talked to several LBSs about a person of my size riding on aluminum and a carbon fork (I'm 250lb). The consensus is that it should be fine particularly with a track bike as they are over built for racing track. So I am wondering which one would best suit me and be the most durable for track and daily road use. I am looking at the Motobecane Team Track (AKA the 2008 Fuji Track Pro) and the Leader V2 725TR. I am wondering how the tubing walls on these frames are and which is less likely to crumple under me? Leader claims that their frame has thicker tubing. The Team Track/Track Pro has a proven ride record. So please chime in on this and let me know what you all think.
Thank you very much.
Thank you very much.

but can it handle the road? the 725tr (at least as it reads on their site) be a bit better for road as well as the drome...

Neither frame will even come close to "crumbling" under you. Serious track racing frames such as these are designed to handle very powerful and heavy men, unlike road frames. So you needn't make your choice on this basis. I'd go with the Moto Team based on the known performance of it's Fuji origin.

as an owner of the moto team track i can vouch for it being a solid quality bike, especially considering the parts it comes with as a complete. i've never ridden a leader but i've also never heard anything good about them other than the fact that they're cheap.
that said, i'm looking to trade up for something steel (probably a soma rush). riding an aluminum track bike on the street just wasn't very comfortable for me.
