Forgive my ignorance, but is this presto from the same workshop as the kierin frames?

I noticed you're loading it up with a bunch of Italian components, so I could be wrong.

The downtube thingies are there because it needs a lot of WD40 and brute force to get them off but I will get rid of them. It's my racing bike from 14 years ago and I recently got it back from the guy who bought it from me in 1999.

Presto is the name of a bike shop in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, which was founded in 1941. Presto has gone Asian carbon and aluminum but until fifteen years ago they used to have a line of Columbus tubed steel frames. They were build in the factory of Andrea Pesenti in Italy, painted in Belgium and build up in Amsterdam.

The downtube cable guides make great incense holders.

Looks good and I'm usually not a fan of straight forks, but I really like it here.

Ah, THAT straight edge! I'm Dutch and wasn't sure if it was about that or some inside joke I did not get. Thanks for the compliments. It's a Salsa lever

I have no idea of the original posters intentions. I too am unsure of what a "straight edge frame" is. I just wanted to highlight that it hadn't been answered and make a joke of how I saw it.

Beautiful frame. I would suggest not hacking off parts, but I'm sure you know that would be a bad idea...

Indeed, I want to get rid of those cable stoppers without hacking off the bosses. I'll try WD40 when I have the time.

BTW, the crosses are the coat of arms of Amsterdam...

Nope, this way it's exactly where I grab the handlebar (Cinelli criterium bar so you have to grab it quite close to the stem if you're not in the drops)

even if you didnt, what's wrong with it being inverted? the lever works the same, I would almost argue that it works better.
