Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

ooh. snap.

Actually, according to Chris Carmichael (TM), and CTS(TM), Lance does off season training on a fixed-gear bike. You can read all about it in one of Chris Carmichael's (TM) many books (TM).

However, I don't think Lance has ever participated in CM.

I saw Robin Williams ride a bike on the David Letterman Show a few years back. It was a cruiser with gears and a front shock. It was chrome.

Does that make me cool?

Uh... how? You better not launch a DOS on bike forums. The server change over was hard enough on me...

A simple sh_t or sh*t or sh__ would have probably gotten by on this particular forum... you need a little censorship to be here... It's Joe's world...
