Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Yep, me too, in the meantime my rusty razor blades are doing the job. They are quite aero too and of course made of steel.

Bikes: I built the Bianchi track bike back up today.

I listened to Jello protesting on Democracy Now this morning (re-run of yesterday at 5am on the local indy station). He sounded... angry. Got to meet him back in MT when he came through and gave a speech back in the day. The sound guy at the bar I worked at filmed the speech, and Jello stayed with him while he was in town. He had previously tried to sign Justin's (the sound guy) band (Humpy - they never did anything) to Alternative Tentacles - the rest of the band was trying to get careers and stuff in order, Justin was trading bootleg Kiss videos and memorabilia on the web and working as a sound guy so he didn't have to pay for booze. He actually probably still has one of the largest collections of atari games you'll ever see...

Keep the DK, 46x17 - they're more real than Slayer will ever be.

Seely -
I'd go with the way that the mud makes your bike look in the pic. Black Grey and tan.
Tan on the down tube, then fade the tan to grey then black up the head tube.
Top tube black, then fade to grey, then to tan on the downtube.
Seat stays the same way, but with a shorter amount of black.
I'd do the tubes on the bottom in tan, too (completely).

Since when is music political? (forever) I was just pointing out the differences in the bands, and what I know of the lead singer of one of them...

And liking a DK avatar better than the Slayer one. I like both bands...

Jeez NT I was just kidding!

I was referring to the heated "who is tougher than slayer" debate of a few weeks ago combined with the recent bickering about what should and should not be posted here.

Bikes: Lugged steel

Follow the pug theme by all means - that would be nice. Also take the suggestion of a previous poster with the paint fades. You could paint it lighter on the downtube like the belly of the dog.

The kicker would be to affix 3 sets of nipples to the downtube for added realism.
