New fuji 2010's

I'm currently looking at the 2010 fuji classic track and feather, they seem to be around the same price as the kilo tt's here in canada but seem better quality, I thought the classic track was better than the feather but on fujis site the feather costs more, any one know why?

I think the feather costs more because of its classier styling, deep profile rims, etc. The standard Fuji Track is a great starter bike. You can't go wrong.

The shop where I work is a Fuji dealer. The Feather is the exact same frame as the Classic Track. The Feather has a nicer fork and some components but I really don't think it's worth paying that much more for it.

Bikes: Soma Buena Vista mixte single speed commuter, Aster 27 speed folder, Mercier Kilo TT Gold Digger fixie.

I was also pretty much set on the 2010 Fuji Classic Track or 2009 Fuji SE 700c Lager until I discovered they are made in China. Making me re-evaluate other options.

So the Feather has a 1" headtube and the Classic Track has a 1 1/8"? It also looks like the Feather has a slightly tighter front wheel/downtube clearance. Or maybe I'm just seeing things.

That baby blue model is beautiful. I'd like pink but they chose kind of a weird hue/shade.

The feather is actually an old model, I guess fuji revived it for usa consumption this year.
Mine is a 1976, tokyo made, lugged version:

My Kilo was much nicer than the couple of Classic Tracks that have come through the shop. Welds/finish were nicer and just seemed like better quality all around.

^^Thanks!
If you are both patient, and willing to quickly "pop" (as they say on pickers) on a vintage track frame when you find one, you can score something nice and unique - sometimes for a good price that compares with new frames. I paid ~$350 for my feather, complete w/ old dura ace and suntour superbe pro parts. The trick is to make sure the frame is sound, seller honest, etc. I don't look on ebay for mine, which helps keeps costs down. But there are some sleepers on ebay...
