SPIN Wheelset - What is it worth?

Hi,
I`ve got a very nice SPIN Wheelset for Roadbikes ( pretty rare cause I found non on
ebay and only very few by googling)

Has anyone an idea what they would be worth? I am not sure If I really want to
sell them but if I would get enouth money out of it I had no problem with it.

Thank you in advanced,
Matt

Haha, funny.
I think there are more people who want them then there are Spin`s.
Everybody who has some doesn`t want to sell them, why else are there
none on ebay?

their weaker material and less aerodynamic shape became obsolete.

Bikes: EAI Bareknuckle, 1981 Gios Aerodynamic, Giant Boulder

the spin factory burned down so they stopped making them iirc.

no aerodynamic benefits whatsoever with that wheel. basically just aesthetics.

I agree they are an old style but without the SPINS you wouldn't have all the rest of the composite wheels that are used today, matter of fact I have a set of 26inch SPINS on my 98 K2 Proflex and they are still going strong. =0) So have some respect you young wipper snapper! LOL! ;0)

in all seriousness i was watching a set on ebay. i think it was a UK auction. they went for like 310 pounds for the front and 200 for the rear (around $720 total)

personally i think they went for an insane amount. I would personally pay maybe $300 for the set, but some people pay crazy prices for things i don't understand (i'd compare them to old aerospokes, which also often go for way more than i'd think is appropriate)

dunno what the market in luxembourg is like. i'd expect here in CA you could list the set for $500 or so and sell it.

Economics 101: They are only worth what someone is willing to pay.
Hipster 101: They are worth much more than that because I think they look cool.

Ebay can answer you question better than BF.

Enjoy

I pined for those back in '93.

There's been a resurgence of them on eBay. Rather odd.

Sell them together; the front will fetch a lot but the rear will be hard to move because its freewheel..... plus it'll be another reason to charge more.

You are probably right. If I sell them seperetly I will be stuck with only one of them and which I couldn`t really use alone because it looks like **** if you mix wheels on your bike.
There online no on Ebay.de. Both together. Curious how fast they sell.
