Ok so since I'm semi-impatient...and somehow my build thread isn't drawing much more attention...I decided to start an "issue specific" thread.

Issue:

Where to break the chain based on how far back the rear axle is in the read dropouts?!?!

Explanation:

The time has come to finally sever the portion of filthy unused chain from my new bike build. Somewhere...somehow...the lingering extra waste of chain must be dealt with!!! The time to act is NOW!

I'm guess it's wise to not have the rear axle pushed fully "back" into the dropout when deciding where to separate the chain for final length. I'm guessing this would allow me to adjust my chain tension instead of being completely "backed into the rear dropouts."

Take one end of the chain and meet one of the links on the other end on the chain ring, make sure your axle is in the middle of the dropout.
