CARBON Track Crankset

Im setting up a sick ass. langster sworks. and i want to put the fsa Carbon crankset. Do u think it will be strong enough to take the abuse of riding brakeless

or what do u even think about a carbon crankset in general for a fixed gear.

This is still the worst crankset in the world. I think you should use it, so that it fails on you and something bad happens.

I don't think the FSA cranks are worth it. It's really just carbon, overlayed over aluminum, so they are really no lighter or stiffer than say, Omnium, Sugino, Dura Ace cranks. They just have the "carbon appeal" to people.

In all actuality, I've heard quite a few complains about the cranks. Not only the probably of the carbon separating from the cranks, but things like the Q factor being too wide, and the bottom bracket always coming loose or making noise.

For the price of them, I think it be better to go with some Sugino 75, or since this is for the street, some Omniums. They are lighter, at least.

They work just fine, but a decent set of aluminum cranks will be lighter and cost less...trust me, I know

Ya, I just snapped it off at the stem, back to running the stock fork for now...
