Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

MKS versus NJ5 clips

Yup. Another comparison thread. Sorry.

MKS: https://cgi.ebay.com/ROAD-TRACK-BIKE-...#ht_6492wt_992

NJ5: https://cgi.ebay.com/NJ5-Toe-Clips-Le...#ht_1658wt_913

Would I be wrong in assuming that these MKS clips are quality, since it seems that nearly everything else they put out gets pretty good reviews? My only reason for the NJ5s would be because they are black, which match my black cranks, and they $3 cheaper (oh my!). I have also read that the MKS alloy clips are a little flimsy... are steel and alloy the same?

White straps make you go faster.

Just go with MKS. They are one brand I can trust. + the "5" in NJ5 annoys me for some reason.

i had a pair of anodized red mks clips. They broke where the screws attached to the clip. I bought a pair of regular steel mks clips and they are much stronger and feel great
