Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I don't see what the big deal is. It's selling for $110, I've seen POS rusty old huffys selling for double that just because they have drops.

It's beat up and a little hodgepodge but $110 isn't a ridiculous price. As a workhorse bike for someone with no interest in hipster cred, it's probably a pretty solid choice. I'd offer $80 maybe if it were me.

@ Dr. Banzai - Now we're talking.

Then there is the guy who traded me my 58 Trek T1 frame for his 54. The 54 fits me great, he decided to move on to something else and is selling my old 58. It sits on CL for $275 and no buyers.

But you can buy old Nishikis for $250 all day long.

I guess a hundred bucks for each speed isn't a bad deal then.

The weirdest part about that GT singlespeed is that it appears to have horizontal dropouts but still has a chain tensioner...
