Wasn't sure what forum to ask in, but you guys seem to know the most about Pake frames. Edit: if this post would be better in the commuting forum or something to that effect, maybe a mod can move it for me?

I'm looking at getting a 'c'mute' frame and fork, but I'll be ordering the thing blind. I'm 5'9.5'', and my (cycling) inseam is 33.3", which, judging by Pake's sizing info, puts me at either the 52cm or the 54cm frame. I did competetivecyclist's sizing calculator, but all it really told me is I need a shor(ter) relative top tube length for my t-rex arms.

I plan on running upright bars, so I'm not worried about being stretched out... I'm just worried about getting a frame that is too big for me.

Any advice appreciated!

I am 5'11" with a 33" inseam and ride the track frame in a 55cm with a 90mm stem with either flat bars or bullhorns. It feels really nice to me. I dont know the difference in the track and the 'c'muter' frame but I hope this helps you.

Apparently the 55cm track frame has a 31.8" standover. The c'mute frame in 54cm is a 31.2" standover. I ride an ancient CCM with a 32" standover and it feels just a little tall for me, which is why I'm still sort of torn... I've heard conventional wisdom is to go with the smaller of two frame sizes.

The standover on the 52cm frame is 30.5... I don't know if I need almost 3" of clearance.

With the 54cm frame, you have plenty of clearance in standover. Check the top tub length n relation to your current bike. You might need a massive stem on the 52cm frame to get the length you need in which case the 54 would fit better.

Personally i'd pick the bigger if in between sizes.Standover really doesn't mean anything in real life but smaller =more seat to bar drop and shorter toptube requiring a long stem.
