Anybody know what color this is?
I'm thinking of having my next frame painted this color. First I can't seem to tell if they're both the same color and I can't figure out whichever color is on the RAL color chart. I know it's hard to pinpoint the color when looking at it on a computer screen, but I was wondering if anyone has painted their frame similar to the ones below.

I'm guessing it's either RAL 4001 or 4005 with a glossy or sparkle added. I'm working with the bike builder but I wanna see what you guys think. In terms of word description I'm looking for like a light purple or violet with a glossy or sparkle look. Thanks.

Violet or lavender seem like adequate descriptions.
Is there any reason you can't forward those pictures to the frame builder directly?

Hey dsh, yeah I did but he was a little vague when he said he could something similar. I emailed him again to see if he could give me a pic of one their frames in that color.
Also the reason why I didn't opt for the bob jackson is I kinda like the look of the Dodici a little more. But my decision is still not set in stone. I do appreciate the suggestion though.

whatever paint shop the bike builder uses, u get get color samples from them with color codes. Every paint brand is different so I guess taking their sample and choosing the closest would be better than giving them a color and say "this". That's a nice color, btw.

Icy lavender?

At a certain point, there aren't really names for all the various minute color differences, so it's basically "sort of lavendar; here's some pictures."

Let me see if I can make this easier. I've narrowed it down to either light purple or true purple. But what the F is true purple? Is that suppsoed to be Dodici's equivalent of lavender?

Periwinkle is actually a blue-violet color. Does this look like what you want?

Edit: I found this ral chart and it looks like 4005 is a close match

Do they have colour samples at the shop? If you're going to be particular, you'll never match it off your RGB monitor. There's too much variation among different computers and different eyeballs. There's no universal naming system for paint colours (aside from Pantones, that I know of) so the best thing to do is pick out a swatch in person rather than paint and re-paint ad infinitum. You'll be happy and your framebuilder will definitely be happy.
