marin? 56.

Squirrelli 07-27-10 03:30 PM

I'm currently using a Fizik Nisene, it fits my ass pretty well.

coma061 07-27-10 04:52 PM

I have the Charge Spoon. It's easily the most comfy saddle I have had. I would love to try a Brooks, but money doesn't allow for that right now. $27 for the Spoon was very doable!

caloso 07-27-10 04:59 PM

Another vote for the classic Selle Italia Flite Ti. I'm glad to see they brought it back -- I just wish they'd offer the re-issue in white.

osiris419 07-27-10 05:13 PM

I like my old Turbo. Its a Bernard Hinault edition.

illdthedj 07-27-10 05:34 PM

anyone ever try these by Kore?

does anyone like san marcos? I am thinking about getting a saddle. It needs to be light, slender and preferably, hard. (no H-mo). I just dont know jack about saddles

Squirrelli 07-27-10 05:43 PM

There are many nice Selle San Marco, they have their vintage looking ones, as well as their racing oriented ones. Like, the Ponza, Aspide, Magma.

illdthedj 07-27-10 05:44 PM

fizik ariones meet your requirements. i have heard san marcos are good, but have never tried one.

I was thinking about getting a new (non-leather) Turbo for my CX bike. They look a little plusher than the Flite.

Squirrelli 07-27-10 05:57 PM

Selle Italia's SLR's are really light but quite expensive.

I put one of these on my first fixed build. It was pretty comfy considering all I had ridden before that were cruiser "couch cushions" and plastic bmx saddles, I wasn't able to compare it to anything similar. If I were able to go back in time with my current knowledge i would've gotten a turbo as it is similar in appearance but constructed much more soundly.

unicanitor

Ass-hatchet.

Ok, but I'm not a big fan of suede covers. I like to be able to move on the saddle.

Check the For Trade thread. I am trying to get rid of a Ti rail San Marco Regal and a Concor. The Regal was just a bit hard for me. But I love the shape. I am thinking about giving the Rolls a shot.

seau grateau 07-27-10 08:20 PM

Riding a Brooks Swift right now, and I love everything about it except covering it up in the rain, and the bouncy feeling I get on it when spinning fast. Got a Kashimax in the mail now, looking forward to trying something completely different.

LoRoK 07-27-10 08:52 PM

Brooks Swift is my #1 fave, right after my Team Pro. The coolest looking saddle (not counting Brooks) would be the Spider http://www.evobikes.cl/catalogo/foto...er_saddles.jpg
or the TaintDestroyer I rode a while back (the Storika).

iscaselle time, baby...

oh, and maybe the snakeskin regal.

fuji86 07-27-10 10:03 PM

I've been fortunate, the saddles that came with the bike I bought have been comfortable. Adjusted properly, the only gripe is replacing it after several years because it eventually wore out. Been just as fortunate in the replacement process too. I'd like to try one of those $ 200-300 seats, but a test drive isn't possible. I'd hate to have a seat that cost more than my bike get stolen ? ;)

dejock 07-27-10 10:30 PM

Another vote for the charge spoon! best 25 bucks i could have spent :)

: )

WoundedKnee 07-28-10 02:49 AM

I hope that isn't real snake skin.

LupinIII 07-28-10 03:19 AM

I like my regal, my arione, and my turbo. out of them probably the arione is the best.

padded unicanitor san marco caymano are okay.

hate the B17. and the stock iro saddle gets bad after about 45 minutes

But for a stock saddle, it isn't bad at all. My IRO is long gone but the saddle still gets used from time to time.
