thats a sweet kit man. i agree that drums are better than guitar. i know it doesnt seem like it due to my list of gear, but ive played guitar for like 5 years, and drums for over 15. im a drummer at heart man.

The guitar I usually record with:

I have it tuned to B standard but with the ****ty pickups it just sounds like crap on high gain. Definitely need to switch those out. Sounds lovely on clean with the neck pickup though.

Blicks....Is that a Rhodes?. Mine did have the plate when I bought it new,but yours seems a little to smooth edged for a Rhodes, much less a Jackson.

Also I think they made the body bigger compared to the Randy Rhoads because the wood is light weight, and to balance out the heavy neck needed to be bigger. It's on okay guitar but I'd rather have a Rhoads.

Just got in the mail for my birthday! My dad's old G&L. This bass is so much easier to play than Megan's Squier, I figured it would sound a hell of a lot better, but not be lighter action or anything. Maybe it's the fretting? Anyways I love it so far.

I dig this thread. I also have an L-1000, and it's a great bass. I strung mine with flatwounds for tubby thump.
At the risk of embarrassment, here is my and my friends playing in the studio. This is an L-2000 with jazz neck. (I am on bass.)

My current axes are: 1987 Alvarez DY-39 w/LR Baggs transducer, 1983 Washburn M3-SW F-style mandolin(LR Baggs-Joe Mills Mic combo), 1978 Takamine Acoustic/Electric 'Logo Era' 12-string, 1976 Gibson Grabber G-3 w/custom EKG Select pick-ups(reverse P-bass configuration), 1983 Strat Standard.
Also, I've got this mandola sized Celtic looking handmade instrument I bought on ebay. It's been dated to 1860 and has ivory banjo tuners. It really sounds great stummed, but not so good trying to do single note stuff. I use it as another sound besides the acoustic guitar on demo recordings. Fills in very nicely. Wish I knew how to post pics.
