It's a repainted 1976 custom sized (special order) Schwinn Paramount P14. The lugs are French Nervex. I raced that bike for 30 years, before changing 4 years ago to my Bianchi Pista Concept.

I'm 30. I ride fixed more than I ride my geared bike. In Lowell MA and I think I've seen three other fixed riders. I though there would be more around with UMASS right across the bridge from my building but I haven't seen any.

As noted above, the quote is from Henri Desgrange, the original organizer of the Tour de France. Derailleurs were not even allow in the Tour de France until 1937.
