Relaxed or energized?
When I ride, I like to listen to more mellow music to relax me and make me alittle more aware of what's going on. But when I ride at night I like to like to listen to alittle bit faster pace music, which may seem odd and maybe it should be the other way around, but it works for me.
What about you guys? Fast music, or slower more mellow? |
When I am on the geared bikes I am GO, on the fixie I am relaxed
|
I have Ride the Lightning running through my head 24/7.
|
not really into fast music while exercising, ever. I don't mean mellow music all the time, but I don't need thrash metal while working out.
If I'm on a chill social night ride I'll listen to anything, usually because there's some guy towing a music trailer |
A metal-head coworker suggested that Limp Bizkit was actually good music. He was serious about it.
|
haha im energized I usually listen to some fast pop punk, or melodic hardcore music. But when I am listening to the fast paced hardcore stuff I tend to get a little wreckless lol.
|
Listening to music while you ride is about as intelligent as riding drunk.

I listen to the unrecognisable white noise with heavy bass that comes out of those pimped out Hondas.

Seeing: (for obvious reasons). Feeling: It's vital to feel terrain, under-inflation, flats, traction (or lacktherof) Hearing: Cars approach from the rear ALWAYS...unless you are on the wrong side of the road. It's nice to hear them coming and to know where they are. Cars honk and pedestrians yell to warn you of a dangerous situation or to let you know when you are screwing up. |

Usually if I'm listening to music it's just playing through the speaker on my iPhone, not the headphones. I like listening to Zao and Meshuggah when I ride.
|
I don't listen to music while I bike, but I like to go where I'm going as fast as I can.
My legs usually feel like jello when I get home. |

I don't listen to music while I bike, but I did get a 790 on the verbal section of the SATs and once made 39 free throws in a row.

I've never taken the SAT but I used be a hell of a defender on the hardwood.
|
No guys, you've gotta preface your sweet brags with something tangentially related to the thread so it doesn't seem off topic.

Riding with crap earphones and the volume cranked is dumb. Riding with a proper earbud and at a low volume will save your hearing long term from riding in the wind so much. If you are riding in the deep city, it's a good idea to skip the music. Obviously. |
Do cyclists really suffer hearing loss from the wind?
