Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Scrod: I know right? There's more of them here than I'm used to. Hanging around smoking cigarettes in front of Sears makes you a total bad ass.

well my VW lives in my garage because when I drive it it makes me poop my pants. Buying parts for your motor gets more addictive then buying bikes and bike parts...

To put it very briefly, hipsterism is mostly about doing things that are "different" or "counter-culture" (the irony being that hipsters tend to all do the same things) and being pretentious about it.

It is one thing to listen to Band A because you like their music; it is another to listen to them because they're "underground" and not "mainstream." Capiche?

Also, the beginning of the commercial kind of reminded me of those old VW ads, actually.
