Lockrings in Manhattan?
Does anybody know a decent place to pick up a lock ring in Manhattan other than that over-priced-scenester shop Trackstar?
If not, I'm gonna have to order from Harris.......and wait a week .

shouldn't be that big of a deal unless you need a campagnolo lockring. Shouldn't cost you more than $15 absolute maximum. If you need to have it installed that could be a pain in the ass if the shop people suck, but I bought a park lockring/headset combo wrench for about the price of an install and I use that tool all the time. Good Luck.

Try Bikeworks, Bicycle Habitat, Chelsea, or any of those shops up in midtown whose names I can't remember... If you need a Campy and can't find one local, I suggest getting a Phil, either from them or Business Cycles in Florida.

I bought a lockring from Trackstar (among many other parts) and while I don't remember what I paid, I know that their pricing is at least as compatible with other stores, if not cheaper. I think it's unfair and uninformed to accuse Trackstar as overpriced since they're not. Besides, oftentimes online purchases are not cheaper than buying at an LBS when you factor in postage and shipping time and (in my case) labor.
To dismiss them as "hipsters" is your own judgment that I think is unfortunate since they've been nothing but nice and helpful with me. I think BikeWorks is a fine store but Trackstar is a welcome addition to the city who also deserve support.
