Most people probably already know about the online sale on Chrome's Midway Pro clipless shoes, but if you're lucky enough to live in a city with a Chrome store, they have even better deals in store this weekend. I got a new pair of Midway Pros for $30!

Hey guys, not really a great deal or sale, but if you have an account with iMinusD and put something in your cart, and leave it for a couple days, they'll ****ing pester you with emails for a couple days, and eventually give you a coupon.

Select Chrome Bags on sale for 60% off.
On Monday, select Chrome Bags will be going for 60% off.

I know a lot of fixed gear riders like to use messenger bags but can anyone explain why? Wouldn't have weight being distributed on one shoulder be less comfortable than a traditional backpack?

Messenger bags are popular with messengers. Some messengers ride fixies. Some fixie riders adopt messenger fashion.

I'll take two straps over a mess bag any day, I like mess bags (and fanny packs!) for light loads sure, a backpack for medium. Heavy loads just suck and belong in panniers.

I'm ordering two pairs, one for me and one for the wife. One thing though, it seems like Chrome shoes have a tendency to separate a little bit at the midsole, where the piping meets the upper. I used some shoe goo to seal that up and it's fine now, but that sucks for the cost. But I only bought mine on sale so I can live with that.

Daaang some of their deals are so tempting, but I wouldn't be buying it because I need it, I'd just be buying it because it's so damn cheap.

The Tobruks? I love mine. Easily the pair of shoes I wear the most, not just for cycling, but anything. I wouldn't wear them for longer rides, but for around 10-15 miles, they're good for me.
