Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? I tried the Berlin at the Chicago Chrome store as I was debating which bag to get. Yeah, its freakin huge. Like, 'swallow babies whole' huge. I would never ever have any use for all the room it has. The one feature of the Berlin that I wish they had on other messenger bags is that second hideaway shoulder strap that gives you the ability to wear it like a backpack. Even for semi heavy loads, that would help a ton.

I've only fully loaded up my Metropolis on a few occasions anyhow. My wife and I like to leave town on long weekends, and if you do it right, you can get 6 changes of clothes, toiletries and a laptop in there. It's heavy as hell and awkward to carry, but it can be done. Otherwise, I find that even the Metropolis is too much space. I could have saved a little cash and gone with the Citizen.

@zodd I got the standard shipping and it was here in under a week.

@pink I'm around 6'. Yeah my 17" macbook probably isn't going to fit, at least not with the case on it. The Kursks definitely have some ankle **** that took some getting used to as well but that didn't bother me as much as the width or the ****ty rubber. I already emailed CS about them telling them I wanted to exchange them or get a refund. They're the worst shoes I've ever cycled in outside of nike running shoes (which was an over traction issue anyway).

and thank you!

Arione Tri2 for $60. I dunno if tri saddles are too nerdy for SSFG but I'm about to buy one.

The deals change periodically. You have to catch it while it's up or wait for it to come around again.

What's the difference between a regular Arione and an Arione Tri?

Sweet so I'm not tripping they only display one item at a time on a single page! Gotcha

I'll let you know when mine arrives. At the very least I'm sure it'll be more comfy than my Kashimax Aero. Though I do love the Kashi in my own weird masochistic way...

WTF!!! Why does that deal have to happen when I'm at work? I think that would have been my next bike.

Don't worry; if they all didn't completely sell out; bonktown relists them until they're all sold or the time runs out (and hence relist and so on); so check periodically in the future/ meantime.

They shouldn't have sold out as it's mostly roadies at white collar jobs who use the site; not hipster boys and girls; track bikes do not sell well.

They seem to always have cutters on there... Whiskey Militia, Chainlove, and Bonktown are my go to's...but I don't check them as often as I could
